@01:27My humblest apologies, but what was the point in all of this? What was the "confession"?

I just had to LOL... a day before I watched your video I spent a lot of time reading into the history of the New Jersey battleship. And I knew it was lying at a riverside by means of a museum. So when I saw that blurry shape in the background I was like 0.o "is that the New Jersey?"

From your description, it turns out it is! ^_^

I made this video for my autobiographical art class. we had to do a project based around a ceremonial act or a confession. i filmed this using my panasonic dmc-fz7 on video mode, but i used a homemade 35mm dof adaptor lens to simulate the use of real film. I also composed and programmed all of the music.

47 feet by ~wimpelteen has a beautiful look and feel to it. The colors and depth of field fit the mood perfectly, and when the music kicks in everything come together to form a great thought-provoking work. ( Suggested by cartoonfreak821 and Featured by DVeditor )

@01:45too much blurfor my taste. there's a time and a place, and I guess if you used it once you'd want to keep the consistency, but it just made the video weaker in my opinion. if that makes sense.
but I still think that this is a job well done (:

thanks!

it was a project for an autobiography art class where we had to do a project based around confessions and or a ceremonial act. so, the long piece of paper is filled with confessions, and the whole process of writing, burning, throwing in water is the ceremonial act.

@01:45Nice work.

The concept in motion was a wee bit flat for me, but it was in the visuals that you concentrated, and it was the visuals that hooked me. Awesome work.

@01:45hmm...the most interesting shot in this (in terms of aesthetics and captivation) was when you were stuffing all long strands into the box..and i enjoy the fact that the title hints that what you wrote on was 476 feet long...and after all of that you go and burn it...i enjoy how the 47 feet of writing changed vessels numerous times and form once...if only for symbolic reference...the whole act seems arbitrary...and in the end totally cliche...if it were intentional...it did not come across as so...just sappy really..i think this video should be broken down more abstractly instead of being so literal and straight forward,this could make for a more intersting video...i also feel like the whole 47 feet jazz is not worked up enough i feel no attatchment what so ever to this 47 foot long piece of writing but i know i should...maybe there should be a more dramatic build up...sorry for the long critque...i loved your camera angels and cinema-tography!

@01:45I felt it was far from straight forward... and the idea took a bit of thinking to realise what it means.

I thought it was poetic.
